A walk along a quiet country lanes. Opportunistic plants line the roadside, jostling for space, determined and tenacious.

Over many hours, each finely detailed element is hand drawn and painted in fine pigment pen and watercolour, cut, embossed and assembled. Each piece is pinned using entomology pins, appearing to float and employing shadow as a transient element of the work - as ephemeral as the subjects themselves. Along the Back Roads is an invitation to slow, look closely, and observe the intricacy of life underfoot.

Cotton paper, pigment, watercolour, wire. Professionally framed in lined Australian oak behind museum glass (UV and reflection resitant).
