Gallery owner and curator Anne Masters invited 8 artists to respond to their homage to the bird and extend on their practice of capturing flora and fauna; Shannon Garson and Fiona Hiscock (Ceramics), Jane Guthleben and Greg Oakley (Painting), Martin King (Print), Vicki Mason (Jeweller), Tom Moore (Glass) and Colleen Southwell (Paper).
Anne says, "I literally aimed for the stars. They are Australia’s best fine artists, photographers, painters, ceramicists, jewellers and paper / printmakers."
Colleen's works, The Light of Dawn and The Light of Dusk capture bird unfurling to catch the light, and folding wings at the end of day.
